Week #8

This week was a major challenge. I am coming up against my old habit of wanting to give up because I am not able to grasp the study material and it appears to be something I won’t be able to understand, learn and be able to do. So easy to give up and not do the exercises, but I am pressing on. Never Give up, keep going have a new meaning for me.

The mental diet, is a challenge. I have started several times and can see this will be an endeavor that will take a new set of skills and lots of practice with a strong committment to Never Give Up….I have chosen to take it on as a life time practice, clear, it will require an expanded awarness and one that will continually provide growth and expansion. Opening up new horizons if I keep going with it. A new frontier, in the world within.

The other challenge is IMAGINATION…which is “the constructive form of thought which must precede every constructive form of action.” I can see that I have confused imagination with fancy/daydreaming. What a great distinction-to get the difference.

Stated in the study material, “Constructive imagination means mental labor, by some considered to be the hardest kind of labor, but, if so, it yields the greatest returns, for all the great things in life have come to men and women who had the capacity to think, to imagine, and to make their dreams come true.”

It was also a great to learn that “mistakes are but the mistakes of ignorance. Knowledge gaining and consequent power is what determines growth and evolution. The recognition and demonstration of knowledge is what consitutes power, and this power is spiritual power, and spiritual power is the power which lies at the heart of all things; it is the soul of the universe. This knowledge is the result of man’s ability to think; thought therefore the germ of man’s conscious evolution.”

This gives me a new awarness of thought and what it means to think. The journey within….I am beginning to see clearly the difference between the world without and the world within. Two totally different worlds to reside in.

So as pointed out in the study material:
Mistakes—The result of ignorance
Knowledge—the results of man’s ability to think
Imagination–can be cultivated by exercise, it must be nurished or it cannot live.

Practice, Practice, Practice to develop new skills—- my new mantra.
